Green and Gold Maru Obi with Cranes

This Maru obi is patterned on both sides with cranes on a glossy silk emerald background. The cranes are arranged up and around the Obi, with outstretched wings. The cranes are rendered and white silk embroidery, outline with a thin gold thread. The wings of the crane have lemon yellow, orange, and light blue silk embroidery. Each feather has contrasting silk embroidery stitches, giving the wings a three-dimensional look. Ribbons of gold foil connect all the birds. 

This Obi is in excellent condition with no stains or loose threads. The silk is glossy with a soft touch, and the Obi is easy to work with.
